January 22, 20200.01 President Donald Trump confirms his intention to extend the travel ban, launched (in the original version) on January 27, 2017 to prevent citizens of some Muslim-majority countries from immigrating to the United States. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal on the sidelines of the Davos summit, Trump says he wants to enlarge the audience of countries subject to the travel ban, but does not specify what they are. There would appear to be 7 other countries: Belarus, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Nigeria, Sudan and Tanzania. The official announcement on Monday.
