Drozdov said that according to the results of 2019, more than 1 million pensions were awarded, of which about 830 thousand were old age, however, 355 thousand citizens became pensioners less due to an increase in the retirement age.

“In 2020, the retirement of 800 thousand people will be postponed, but this is a cumulative result - that is, taking into account those who have moved their pension in 2019,” he said.

At the same time, an increase in the number of early retirees is forecasted, which is about a quarter of those transitioning to retirement benefits. 14.6% of them are those who worked under harmful and dangerous working conditions, 5% are those who worked in the North, and 2.5% are doctors and teachers.

Also, according to Drozdov, an increase in the number of “pre-term workers” is expected in subsequent years, in particular due to mothers with many children.

“From 2021, at age 56, mothers who have given birth and raised four or more children will begin to retire. And since 2023 at 57 years old - the mother of three children, ”he said.

Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin introduced to the State Duma a package of amendments to the country's Constitution, which, in particular, concern the indexation of pensions.
