His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, directed compensation to those affected by the rains in the emirate during the past period, which caused damage to a number of homes in separate areas of Ras Al Khaimah.

The decision reflects the continuous efforts of the leadership and its endeavors aimed at providing various means of support to the people of the emirate, and helping them to face emergency situations, in a way that guarantees them and their families the causes of a decent and stable life.

In implementation of the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, the Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, Head of the Emergencies, Crisis and Disaster Management Team in the Emirate, Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al-Nuaimi, has announced that a committee has been formed that includes the directors of the general departments and local bodies concerned in the Emirate to count and assess the damage caused by the rains.

He added that the committee has already made field trips throughout the emirate, met with families whose homes and properties were damaged, worked to confine and evaluate them, and raise its results directly to His Highness the Governor directly to start paying compensation to those who deserve it.

He praised the efforts of the team members, the competent authorities and field work teams, for the high readiness they showed.
