This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a presidential decree promulgated by the Kremlin press service.

“The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, by his decrees appointed ... Reshetnikov Maxim Gennadievich - Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation,” the Kremlin said.

The decree also notes that the president accepted Reshetnikov's resignation from the post of governor of the Perm Territory of his own free will.

Since 2016, the Ministry of Economic Development was headed by Maxim Oreshkin.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called the new composition of the government balanced, noting a very large update.
