When SVT contacted PostNord's CEO Annemarie Gardshol last week, she did not want to comment on the secret report that Dagens Nyheter reported on. On the other hand, Gardshol believed that subsidies may be needed if PostNord's social assignment to distribute letters must not be changed.

The growing e-commerce is increasing the number of packages sent. On the other hand, digitization has meant that PostNord's mail delivery revenues are declining at an ever faster rate.

"If the state wants to maintain the level we have today, a subsidy may become relevant, but we are not there today," Annemarie Gardshol told SVT News last week.

When Annemarie Gardshol is in SVT's Morning Studio, she says that Postnord is not facing bankruptcy.

- We actually have a pretty good development in our business right now if you look at our reports. Postnord is a company that is in a transformation driven by changed ways of communicating, she says.
