- A year ago I came to Davos and told you that your houses are in full fire. I wanted you to panic. It has been said to me that it is dangerous to tell people to have climate panic, but don't worry, I promise you - nothing will happen.

So Greta Thunberg started her speech during the World Economic Forum in Davos.

- The fact that the US intends to leave the Paris Agreement seems to cause both anger and concern - and it should. But the fact that all of them will fail with the commitments you signed for in the Paris Agreement does not seem to trouble the least.

Is not about politics

Greta emphasized that this is not about party politics.

- From a sustainability perspective, everyone from right to left has failed, she says.

- No political ideology or economic structure has been able to tackle the climate issue, because if you haven't noticed, the world is burning.

During the speech, Greta went hard on the world's rulers and accused them of ignoring the facts that exist, as it is uncomfortable to deal with and depressing. She says they have already given up.

- Unlike you, my generation will not give up without fighting for our cause, how will you explain to your children that you never even tried?

- Our houses are still burning. Your inability to act is what gives the flames fuel. I still tell you to panic. I still tell you to act like you love your children above all else, she concluded the speech.
