“During the meeting, ways of making progress in Russian-French relations based on trust were discussed. The consultations made it possible to study areas of possible cooperation on pressing issues of international security, ”the Russian Defense Ministry said.
They added that the meeting will develop "in the course of other events to continue high-level contacts between the two ministries."
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the past year 2019 was marked by a warming in Russian-French relations, the parties increased bilateral contacts and expanded their agenda.
