An informal meeting was held at the UN Security Council to investigate the alleged chemical attack in the Syrian city of Duma on April 7, 2018. The Russian side has provided new evidence of falsification of the incident. Former OPCW expert Ian Henderson also said during the meeting that the organization had serious doubts that the attack really happened. However, representatives of Estonia, the United States and Great Britain expressed confidence that the OPCW’s initial report on the Duma was fair, and the British UN Permanent Representative criticized Russia for convening the meeting.
