In the Sultanate of Oman, when the winter season begins, the sport of mountain hiking, with the participation of various Sunni groups of men and women.
Many are keen to attend, for the purposes of health, exploration and identification of the past of parents and grandparents, from old ways and lanes, and some consider it an opportunity to meet and get to know each other.
This sport is organized by interested people in the various states and regions of the Sultanate, and the participants travel tens of kilometers across cliffs, valleys and mountainous hills.
