Aseel is a soldier - Jerusalem

Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, the preacher of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the head of the Supreme Islamic Authority for the Defense of Jerusalem - confirmed on the first day of his removal from the Noble Sanctuary - to continue expressing his firm stances towards the Al-Aqsa and the cause of the door of mercy, and not to give up his opinion rejecting the incursions of extremists and violations of the occupation forces to the sanctity of the first two kisses The second mosque and the third holy mosque.

Sabri received a new order yesterday to deport the Al-Aqsa Mosque until January 25 this year, and the occupation authorities may extend this deportation after the end of the period.

Next is the text of a private interview conducted by Al-Jazeera Net with the blessed preacher of Al-Aqsa about his summonsing, his last deportation, the date of his pursuit, in addition to the issue of the door of mercy and the ongoing violations of the Noble Mosque and its chapel.

We start from the latest developments, what is the reason for your last summons and what was the charge leveled against you during the investigation?

The occupation confuses incitement and giving opinions. I clearly state my opinion and my position against the practices of Jewish extremists in Al-Aqsa and announce during Friday sermons our adherence to religious principles, including the issue of Bab al-Rahma as an integral part of Al-Aqsa.

These positions do not appeal to the occupation, who claims that this is part of incitement, but this is an old new charge that was directed to me several times previously, and the last summons was mainly in light of the intense presence of tens of thousands of worshipers in the mosque to perform the dawn prayer last Friday.

This mass prayer irritated the occupier and sent him a message that only the Muslims are al-Aqsa and that the Jews ’ambitions in it evaporated .. they were angry with this crowd so they called me for investigation.

We were informed of the results of the summons, and do the lawyers expect the occupation authorities to extend the deportation decision?

I was given a new decision to deport myself from Al-Aqsa Mosque for a week ending on January 25th, in order to consider the statement I made, which they absolutely did not like, and all possibilities are open, they may hand me an order for longer deportation after a week, but I announce, as every time, that I will not back away from My position because of these pursuits.

I consider the policy of deportation racist illegal, and there is no country in the world that follows the method of deportation from places of worship except the Israeli occupation.

When did you first get into the minbar in the Al-Aqsa Mosque to deliver sermons, and when did you go after you?

The first sermon I gave in the mosque was in 1973, and I persevere for the 47th year in a row to play this role, but the occupation does not appeal to my words, so he started following me in 2000 with the outbreak of the second intifada, and since then until today I have been summoned, arrested, and investigated, in addition to the penalties for deportation from the Al-Aqsa Mosque and prevention. from traveling.

Al-Aqsa is going through the most dangerous stages, and perhaps the sensitivity of this stage is the daily occupation attempts to re-close the chapel of the door of mercy and extremist calls to convert it into a synagogue. How do you read the future of this particular issue?

We affirm that the chapel of the door of mercy will not be closed, and what the occupation is doing is retaliatory actions to pursue and intimidate the Almoravids and the Almoravids.

We expect from the occupation in the future all evil towards our mosque, but we only count on the stability of the Jerusalemites and their stand against the plans of the occupier against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and what bodes well for the recent crowd in the field to perform the dawn prayer at Al-Aqsa on Friday for two weeks.

How do you evaluate the response of the Jerusalemites to the occupation attacks on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque?

The more the occupation examines its violations against the mosque, the more the people will be there, and this is a clear message to the occupation that it is necessary to raise its hand from this holy place, because Jerusalemites have proven that it will not be relinquished in more than one position during recent years, especially during the gift of electronic portals in the summer of 2017 and the gift of the door of mercy That broke out in the winter of 2019.

This year, some Jewish occasions coincided with Islamic holidays, which led the extremists to storm Al-Aqsa on the 28th of last Ramadan and the first days of Eid Al-Adha. This will be repeated in 2020 and 2021, do you think that will fuel the situation further in Al-Aqsa?

First, these attacks demonstrate that Al-Aqsa is not sacred to the Jews, even if they also took into account its sanctity and refused to be an arena for confrontation and sabotage during every storm and attack on worshipers.

Secondly, we expect that the situation will be fueled in every season for Jewish holidays and before every election round, especially since the Likud party always seeks to satisfy the extremist Temple groups to win their votes in the elections, and this diabolical alliance between the government and extremists leads to continuous tension in Al-Aqsa due to the government's support to them at the expense of the mosque and its sanctity.

What is required, Arab and Islamic, to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque?

What is required is for all countries of the world to bear their responsibility towards this mosque, because Al-Aqsa is not only for Jerusalemites but for all Muslims throughout the world, and God will hold accountable those who fall short of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa.
