According to the investigation, from March 2018 to September 2019, officials of the Vladivostok regional department for supervisory activities during the planned inspection of the shopping center "did not take measures to prevent, detect and suppress a violation of the requirements stipulated by the mandatory application of the set of rules."

“Violations were in a cafe located on the 4th floor of this shopping center related to the absence of an automatic fire extinguishing installation in the premises of this cafe and the inoperative automatic installation of a fire alarm,” the department added.

As a result of the negligence of these persons, on September 21, 2019, there was no signal about a fire in the warehouse of the cafe and the fire spread to other rooms of the shopping center.

The fire caused damage totaling at least 7 million rubles.

Earlier it became known that a fire in a shopping center in Vladivostok occurred due to a shorted electrical wiring.

The fire area in the largest shopping center in Vladivostok "Maxim" amounted to 1.5 thousand square meters. m. As a result, no one was injured.
