“Today in Berlin, I discussed with the Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu the Libyan peace process,” Pompeo wrote on Twitter.

According to him, the parties agreed on the need for a formal ceasefire in Libya and the establishment of a reliable mechanism for monitoring compliance with the ceasefire.

Earlier in the U.S. Department of State, Pompeo plans to meet with colleagues from the UAE and Germany, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Heiko Maas, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and the head of European diplomacy, Joseph Borrell, at a conference in Berlin.
