It was at midnight that the couple made an alarm to the police after a perpetrator of his 40s, who is known to the couple before, abused them both. The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance while the man who also lives in the apartment managed without serious injuries.
- We have been able to hold a hearing with the woman and the injuries are not life threatening. But she received repeated blows with a fondness as she lay down and therefore the incident is now being investigated as an attempt at murder, says police spokesman Åsa Willsund.
The origin of the incident is currently unclear.
Stopped on the way to EskilstunaWhen police arrived at the scene, the suspected offender had left the apartment.
A moment later, the police were able to locate the man when he was on his way to Eskilstuna in his car and the man could be arrested.
