According to the investigation, on the evening of January 18, on the Lodeynoye Pole - Vytegra highway, a suspect driving a Mitsubishi Lancer in violation of traffic rules drove into the oncoming lane and made a head-on collision with Lada Priora.

As a result of the accident, the Lada passenger died, both drivers were hospitalized.

“During the initial investigation, the traffic police officer outlined his version of events, distorting the actual circumstances of what happened. Currently, the investigator of the Investigative Committee detained the suspect in accordance with Article 91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, ”the Investigative Committee said.
