“From February 1, 2020, SkyUp Airlines will suspend regular flights to Sharjah (UAE) from Zaporozhye, Lviv and Kharkov. This is due to the continuation of the ban on flights in the airspace of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Iraq, introduced by the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine on January 9, 2020, ”the company reports.

It is noted that the need to fly around the territory of Iran and Iraq caused an increase in the duration of flights, as well as the need to make a stop on the way for refueling.

Earlier it was reported that the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) recommends abandoning flights over Iran at all altitudes in the interests of security, taking into account the current situation in the region.
