According to Interfax, citing data from the operational processing of the Altai-Sayan branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the epicenter of the earthquake recorded at 01:17 Moscow time had coordinates 54.65 degrees north latitude and 83.72 degrees east longitude.
The earthquake site was located 27 km east of the city of Iskitim.
