Lyon joined the 8th finals of the Coupe de France after their 4-3 victory in Nantes thanks to a sparkling Rayan Cherki, the last nugget of the Lyon academy, involved in the four goals of OL on Saturday.

The 16-year-old attacking midfielder started with a close double in less than 10 minutes (2nd, 9th) then sent two assists in depth to Martin Terrier, then Moussa Dembélé for the 3rd and 4th goals from Lyon (37th, 69th).

Meanwhile, Cherki, who only knew his second start of the season, had even caused a penalty but Dembélé's attempt was stopped by Nantes goalkeeper Alban Lafont.

But at 4-1 - the Belgian Canary rookie Renaud Emond had reduced the gap after the double from Cherki --Lyon was scared and revived Nantes with two errors from his defender Joachim Andersen.

A failed intervention by the Dane gave Moses Simon the necessary space to serve behind Imran Louza (4-2, 83rd).

Then behind Moses Simon during a cross, he accompanied the ball into the nets of Anthony Lopes (4-3, 86th) offering his teammates a handful of minutes of chills ultimately without consequence.
