The band of the Municipal Police of Madrid will not be able to play today at the San Antón festivities, whose events began this Thursday in the capital. The reason: not to comply with the parameters of the Ordinance for Protection against Acoustic and Thermal Pollution ( OPCAT ) approved during the previous mandate of Manuela Carmena.
The action, which was scheduled for this Friday at 11 am, will not occur at the doors of the church since it does not violate article 19.3 of the municipal ordinance. It is for this reason that the City Council of the capital is negotiating to move this action inside the enclosure. "It is the only option that would be viable right now," said municipal sources consulted by EL MUNDO.
