The log cabin is affected by the mild weather

Now Kalhyttan in Filipstad has been forced to close its sale of day passes for cross-country skiing. The reason? There are virtually no trails to go. "Right now we don't have much to do with tracks," says Lennart Dahlgren, who is the track manager at Kalhyttan.

Since the beginning of December there have been skiers in the tracks at Kalhyttan and last Tuesday there was a competition with about a hundred participants.

Today, there are no skiers out at all when SVT visits the municipal ski stadium. And the upcoming competition on Tuesday is great. There is no snow and the little artificial snow that has been made in the weather lately has only been sufficient for a short distance.

- We have nothing to offer now but a short distance of 150 meters, says Lennart Dahlgren.

- Sure we have a loss of revenue when we can't sell track cards but what is sad is considering all those who can't ski, says Mattias Edin, who works as a real estate service manager at Filipstad Municipality.
