17 January 2020 The Sardines will meet again on 8 March in Bologna for a national event in which we will talk about structure and organization, because "we do not want to disperse the assets of these months". This was announced by Mattia Santori, spokesman for the movement, during a press conference held this morning in Bologna. A moment, for Sardines, to look in the mirror and decide what to do after January 26, the day when Emilia-Romagna, where the tide was born, will vote for the next governor.

The future of sardines
"We will not become a party," says Santori, although there is more than one idea about the movement within tomorrow. "There are no real currents, it is abstract, our goal is March 8 because that's where we want to go". Personally, Santori points out, "I believe that at this moment we are interested in dialogue with politics, not as a party". That post January 26th will be the so-called 'Phase 3': "We have to understand what our line is". "We will return to listen to the national structure that wonders what will happen." March 8 will be "a weekend of coexistence in which we will talk about various topics at national level, structure, widespread organization, which will be the digital home". We are already looking at the next electoral challenges on the horizon: "Six very different campaigns will start and we must get to understand what our line will be". "We realize that we are asking for an enormous effort from others, which will have to be repaid by trying not to waste the wealth of energy raised in these months".

A "daspo" for those who violate the rules
A daspo also on social networks for those who do not respect the rules of civil coexistence and spread hatred and at the same time the possibility of associating identification elements with each profile: these are the proposals launched by Mattia Santori during the press conference to launch the mega event in program Sunday in Bologna. The sardines on these issues also hope for a confrontation with the government. "There must be the possibility for the postal police - said the sardine number one - not to chase the fake profiles but to have an identification for which I know that my responsibility is real and criminal". For this reason, according to Santori, "associating an identification with each profile, be it the residence or the tax code is fundamental". Having said that "why don't we introduce a daspo also on social networks? The logic is not that Facebook is not able to manage its users, but the logic is that if someone is not able to behave in the public arena and to respect some rules who allow the freedom of other people can not enter that community. "

Dialogue with politics, not with parties
"We record an opening of the Democratic Party which is already somewhat new. A substantial part of the movement believes that at some point it should really influence the political landscape. Then there is a part that says' no to the Democratic Party, absolutely not And finally there is a part that says 'we are not going in the direction of politics'. I observe this and I am not returning an answer because it is not yet there. " thus replied Mattia Santori to a question about possible future relations between his movement and the Democratic Party. "At this moment - stated Santori - we are interested in dialogue with politics, but not with the party, we want to dialogue with the institution, therefore, with the government forces. We will make a series of requests and we want to understand if there will be direct action compared to these. Then it will be much easier to understand who promises only in words and who, in fact, is coming towards us ".

Dyslexic activist advised against going to work
The young man targeted by a video by Matteo Salvini who takes him back while speaking from the stage of the Sardines of San Pietro in Casale because of his difficulties in pronunciation, was advised to stop his work as a sales agent. Mattia Santori made it known, explaining that "because of the hatred that broke out against him and the threats he received" on social media and on the web, he was contacted by the Prefecture and the Police Headquarters of Ferrara. "It has been pointed out to him that, given the work he does and the level of hatred towards him, it would be better to think about it for a moment. It is serious that he was advised not to go around for safety reasons." The young man is assisted by the lawyer Cathy La Torre, founder of the campaign 'Hating costs you'.

Flash mob in Ferrara
After the investigation by Piazzapulita which saw the protagonist of the Lega's deputy group leader in Ferrara, Stefano Solaroli, the Sardines will arrive in the Estense capital, announcing a demonstration, or rather, a "little train". "It is a scandal - underlines Santori - because it is absurd that a video comes out in which a local group leader promises work in exchange for silence". The flash mob, which will see the sardines waving curricula in the procession behind the train in Ferrara (that is, the job as hostess that would have been offered to the League councilor, ed), could be staged on Monday. "The sardines will follow the little train and then they will show up to ask for explanations - explains Santori -. I don't understand why you expect to deepen."
