“January 18, President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin will take part in commemorative events dedicated to the Day of Breaking the Siege of Leningrad, ”RIA Novosti reports from the Kremlin’s press service.
In particular, the president will lay flowers at the Rubezhniy Kamen monument in the Leningrad Region and at Mother Motherland at the Piskarevsky Memorial Cemetery.
Previously, Putin told how volunteers from search teams helped find the burial place of his brother who died during the siege of Leningrad.
