It imposes some. Noted with her stand-up show "Fat and furious", the humorist and actress Melha Bedia caused a sensation in the film "Forte", in competition at Alpe d'Huez, a revenge for the one who took the side of laugh at his overweight.

On stage, she speaks loudly, improvises, occupies space and connects the floodgates with breathtaking energy.

In "Forte" by Katia Lewcowicz, presented at the Alpe d'Huez Comedy Festival, for which she co-wrote the script, she makes people laugh but also moves in the role of Nour, a young woman who cannot seem to seduce because of her extra pounds and decides to start pole dancing to become more feminine, helped by a teacher played by Valérie Lemercier.

"Nour, it's really me," she admits. Because the humorist Ramzy Bedia's little sister is not afraid to expose herself. Large round glasses on the nose, the one that appeared when promoting her show with sweatshirts bearing the inscriptions "Balenciagras" or "Givenchips", cap screwed on the head, speaks easily of her virginity and her pounds too much.

"I grew up in the pavilion", she immediately launched in her show played in 2017-2018, before adding: "Being fat is a concept that is very relative. Me, in a time zone from here, I'm super sexy, I make calendars! ".

For Melha Bedia, 29, "self-deprecation is still the basis of humor". "If I recap, I am short-sighted, Arab, overweight, virgin ... that's a lot of quotas. I represent a lot of minorities, which makes a huge majority in real life. I say to myself + it's better to start from there , with my weaknesses, and it will become a strength +, "she said to AFP.

The one who grew up in the Paris region, restorative mother and absent father, did not always follow the path of humor, however. At the start, it was in women's football, her passion, that she saw her future.

After joining PSG, he was offered to go to a training center in the United States, in Cleveland. "My mother refused, she shattered my dreams," she says.

- From Diam's to the cinema -

Melha then passed her baccalaureate with honors at 16 years old. But she immediately dropped out of school and decided to go on tour with the singer Diam's, to do the styling and dressing.

"On the first date, she said to me + you're doing the styling, the dressing, you're going to do the first part too because you're funny +. And there I vomited. I had a scarf, I didn't I will remember all my life. The vomit remained in the scarf, I threw the scarf, and I arrived at the Printemps de Bourges in front of 12,000 people, "she recalls.

She then puts on her show and reconciles with her brother - who was very disappointed that she did not continue her studies. "It took time, it really made me very poor ...".

The idea of ​​"Forte" will come to him after going to a birthday party in a strip club with friends. "There was something that caught my attention right away. I said to myself + but we have to talk about these girls there. + And to talk about it, you have to talk about it with humor, and to talk about it with humor, I thought to myself that I was going to talk about myself ".

Precision work will follow with director Katia Lewcowicz, with whom she "strips naked", and who is full of praise for her actress. For her, Melha "is a huge star in the making".

"She has comedy in her skin, she goes fast and she is intelligent," she comments. "And apart from that, she has a sensibility and a heart, a generous generosity".

Thanks to "Forte", Melha Bedia says she is happy to have been able to talk about "real women" like her.

"I love buying women's magazines. But what are we not represented in," she said. "I think we are a majority not to feel represented. And if tomorrow we have to make a political party of overweight people, I will be there!".
