He recalled that Goncharuk filed a resignation letter with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky with the right to enter the parliament.

“But such a statement, in accordance with Article 115 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the Prime Minister can only submit to the Verkhovna Rada, and not the President. In this case, it’s a cheap PR move of Goncharuk, which has nothing to do with resigning as prime minister, ”said Medvedchuk.

According to him, the Cabinet and Goncharuk "deserved the resignation, but, unfortunately, it will not be."

On January 17, Goncharuk announced that he had submitted his resignation after the meetings of the Ukrainian government appeared on social media of the mounted audio recordings.

The office of the President of Ukraine confirmed that Zelensky received a statement by Goncharuk.
