Kuwaiti lawyer Adel Abdul-Hadi said that his academic and intellectual, Abdullah Al-Nafisi, received a death threat by planting an explosive device in his car.

Abdul Hadi added - in a statement posted on Twitter - that the competent security authorities were notified to ensure and ensure the safety of the life of his client.

The lawyer attached in his statement a copy of the complaint submitted to the Attorney General regarding the warning received about an attempt to assassinate Dr. Al-Nafisi.

According to the statement, the warning arrived by e-mail to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas, which is the episodes of the "Black Box" program, in which Al-Nafisi participated in several episodes recently.

The Kuwaiti Criminal Court issued an order earlier this month to arrest and bring Al-Nafisi in a case in which he was accused of insulting the UAE.

Al-Nafisi announced his willingness to appear before the judiciary, noting that he had not received any notice of the case during the period leading up to the last judicial procedure.
