“Five active participants in the organized crime group were detained - three citizens of Russia and two citizens of Ukraine, who were found and seized at least 66 kg of the synthetic drug mephedrone, more than 600 liters of liquid containing synthetic drugs, as well as various laboratory equipment, chemicals and precursors, ”the intelligence agency said.
Participants in an organized criminal group were selling manufactured drugs in the interests of one of the online stores on the Hydra trading platform.
The FSB Investigation Department opened a criminal case under part 5 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (production of narcotic drugs on an especially large scale).
Members of the criminal group are currently under arrest.
The FSB noted that the members of the group used enhanced security measures: they classified their places of residence and used secret means of communication.
“Narcotic drugs between members of organized crime groups were transmitted exclusively through hiding places. The drug storage facilities were carefully hidden, ”the department emphasized.
At the end of December, a suspect in the illegal sale of synthetic drugs was detained in the Bryansk region.
The online newspaper Realnoe Vremya also reported that in Tatarstan, 17 members of a criminal group sentenced to imprisonment from eight to 12 years for selling drugs.
