Russian President Vladimir Putin announced today that he will attend the Berlin international conference on Libya on Sunday. The Kremlin stresses that the conference will serve to discuss how to achieve "the cessation of hostilities, reconciliation between the belligerent parties and the launch of a broad political dialogue under the auspices of the UN".

In the same hours, the Kremlin itself issued a letter from the Libyan general Khalifa Haftar to the Russian president, a letter in which the strong Benghazi man says he is ready to go to Moscow to continue talks on the peace initiative for Libya. '' I thank you and express my full support for the Russian initiative to hold peace talks in Moscow, with the aim of bringing peace to Libya. I confirm that we are ready to accept your invitation to go to the Russian Federation to continue the dialogue that has begun '', reads the letter, according to what was released by the Kremlin. Both Putin and Haftar will be present on Sunday at the Berlin conference.

Erdogan: "Haftar is not reliable"
Libyan Marshal Khalifa Haftar "is not reliable", "continued to bomb Tripoli yesterday", says Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, after the Anadolu news agency, expressing concerns that the strong man of Cyrenaica could respect any ceasefire with the rival, the National Agreement Government (GNA) led by Prime Minister Fayez al-Serraj.

Unicef: "Children at risk"
