The time has come after 01:00 the night of January 13. Kirsten and Stig Karlsson are still sitting up and watching TV in their apartment on Gyllenstiernsgatan on Östermalm. Kirsten has recently come in from an evening stroll with the dog. Suddenly a loud bang is heard, the power goes off and the fire alarm begins to beep.
No person was injured in the explosion, but the property is undergoing extensive renovation.
Construction companies have worked intensively to replace all windows that face the street, the majority of the apartment doors and restore the staircase where the bomb detonated. The Karlsson couple, who lived with Stig's daughter during the renovation, will soon be able to move back home.
