The Ministry provides the service of granting marriage, in implementation of the provisions of Federal Law No. 47 issued in 1992, for young citizens coming to marriage, within two parallel tracks, one of which provides financial support to be able to meet the cost of marriage and secure its requirements, while the second track focuses on educating young people, and ensuring that they are Be aware of the size and importance of family responsibilities that will be placed on them after marriage.

The value of the marriage grant is 70 thousand dirhams, granted once, and it is required that the applicant, he and his wife, be citizens of the state, and that the husband's age is not less than 21 Gregorian years, and the wife's age at 18 Gregorian years when the marriage contract is concluded, and that he is not Capable of marriage expenses and those with limited capabilities and income, or who benefit from social assistance, and his net income does not exceed 25 thousand dirhams, after deduction of the retirement allowance and housing allowance, if any.

The conditions include that the grant application be submitted within a period not exceeding six months from the date of the marriage contract, and that the grant applicant and his wife commit to attend the educational sessions and lectures organized by the Ministry of Community Development, within one year from the date of applying for the marriage grant.

As for the programs implemented by the Ministry to support family stability and awareness of how to achieve successful and coherent family building factors, it can be summarized in 10 programs, and the Ministry has continued to implement them during the past few years, including the Councils Program in Social Development Centers, which aims to enhance family cohesion and community cohesion , Family privacy, and the "my other half" program, which focuses on young people about to marry, and new husbands who have not been married for more than five years, in order to train them to take responsibility.

The programs also include the "plans for your future" program, which provides financial advice, in addition to workshops for young people and those about to marry, to train them in proper financial planning, which ensures the stability of their families, and the program "financial advisor" that trains how to manage and create projects, in addition to a program My family, which aims to warn of the dangers of parents ’interference in the couple’s affairs and their private affairs, as well as the“ always with you ”program, which is directed to parents to educate them about the importance of their role in achieving stability for the family, by offering clear and positive models of the proper practices of parents.

The programs also include a program to educate widowed and divorced women, to educate them about the correct and sound ways to coexist and adapt to new situations, after separation from the partner.

The ministry’s programs to support family stability also include three strategic programs, including the “preparation” program, which aims to prepare young people to assume their responsibilities, through courses in various aspects of life, including how to plan marriage and family communication, as well as family orientation and reform.

As for the second program, it was called "Form a Family", and the Ministry launched it at the end of 2018, to help and motivate young people to marry, to achieve family stability, as the program includes caring for individual weddings for citizens who do not meet the conditions for obtaining the marriage grant.

These programs also include the productive Emirati family program, which aims to empower the family economically by providing a package of training and rehabilitation services, which helps them achieve success for projects that contribute to supporting their financial income.
