The mayor of Pinto, Diego Ortiz (PSOE), announced Thursday that he will reshape the local government on a temporary basis and that he will create a third tenure of City Hall following his absence since Monday to travel to Colombia with his husband to adopt a kid.

In this way, as reported in a press conference, the Mayor's Office will fall to the first deputy mayor, María Dolores Rodríguez, while decreeing the creation of a Third Tenancy that will be assumed by the mayor Flor Reguilón, who will also have the powers in Urban Planning and Planning. In addition, the Department of Commerce and Industry will fall to Alejandro Robles, and Tourism in Guillermo Portero.

During a press conference to assess the first six months of the legislature, Ortiz made the announcement of the adoption, which he defined as "exciting news" because he and his partner had "years" trying to adopt a child.

The mayor has not been able to specify how long he will be away since it will depend on judicial proceedings, although he has recalled that the current paternity leave can be extended up to twelve weeks.

Despite his absence, Ortiz has specified that he will be watching the development of the Pinteña activity. "I am confident that this government will work at 200 percent," he concluded.
