What would become Lindholmen's proudest property has suffered from financial problems, and the construction of Karlatornet has gone on a low flame.

In October 2019, the message came that Karlatornet would be delayed by one year and it made customers want to drop their advance agreements.

But now the fog seems light for Serneke Group, which has thus found an external financier. Oaktree Capital Management is an international investment company with operations in 14 other countries, which will take over 80 percent of the ownership of the building.

Serneke will still be responsible for the construction itself, as the main contractor.

Karlatornet is part of Karlastaden - a construction project for housing, hotels and office and commercial areas that make Lindholmen at Hisingen a landmark.

In March 2019, CEO Ola Serneke told SVT News West that the construction of the high-rise residential tower should be focused first and foremost.

"And then we package and pick tenants in the remaining quarters as well," he said.
