Former President of the National Front (now National Rally) Jean-Marie Le Pen on Thursday called on "national" "right" forces to unite for the municipal elections in March.

"We must talk to each other, this is the moment when ever. Because what separates them is often only nuances or ambitions. But this must be banished with great firmness. It is absolutely necessary to unite the nationals, the "list unit", added Mr. Le Pen, who had been accused of neglecting the poll and the local establishment of his party.
His daughter Marine Le Pen, president of the RN, opened the lists for candidates outside the party for these elections, with the aim of consolidating its local roots for the presidential elections.
