Falkenberg Municipality has listed all the approximately 1,300 houses that are empty in the countryside. Now they want to get entrepreneurs to see the possibility of doing their business in the country. So far, 30 entrepreneurs have been napping. Emilia Lindholm works as an artist and has spent the last two years traveling around Europe in her van.

- We traveled around Halland looking for fate and then we found this. We talked to the owner who had had it for a very long time and finally we agreed that I could buy it for the symbolic sum of 35,000 SEK, says Emilia Lindholm.

Great renovation needs

The house has been empty for a long time. The roof leaks in, the entrance is so damaged that there are holes in the ceiling and the floor must not be walked on, because it is so humid.

- We have talked to craftsmen and they say it is not as dangerous as it looks, the foundation itself is good, says Emilia Lindholm, who intends to completely renovate the house.

The hope is that she will be able to celebrate Christmas in the house next year.
