"I am seeing many controversies and demands regarding these diesel stop measures.
Obviously our first goal is to protect public health, we are moving within what is provided for by the law, we are constantly waiting for the data, "says Virginia Raggi on the sidelines of a press conference on the Capitol.

The stop from 7.30 to 10.30 and from 16.30 to 20.30
In Rome, the stop to the most polluting cars and diesels up to Euro 6 is still in force today, always from 7.30 to 10.30 and from 16.30 to 20.30. A decision taken by the Capitol, "considering the persistence of the high levels of pollution from PM10, detected by the urban monitoring network and validated by ARPA Lazio". The stop concerns all private vehicles powered by diesel which cannot circulate in the so-called Rome green belt in the two time slots. Block also for Euro 0 and Euro 1 mopeds and motor vehicles and for Euro 2 petrol vehicles. The block for all diesel cars in the capital has reached the third consecutive day.

Pm10 yesterday over the limits in 9 out of 13 areas
Even the second of the three days of traffic freezing for diesel vehicles arranged by the Capitol did not bring about a decrease in the concentration of fine particles in the air. Yesterday, according to the findings of ARPA Lazio, 9 units out of 13 in the city recorded a quantity of Pm10 greater than 50 micrograms per cubic meter, a limit set to avoid possible health risks. The limits were exceeded in Arenula (55), Preneste (58), France (53), Magna Grecia (58), Cinecittà (66), Eur Fermi (59), Bufalotta (61), Cyprus (53) and Tiburtina (74). In some of the control units the overrun of the maximum levels of Pm10 has been taking place for 12 consecutive days.
