January 16, 2020 The news was presented during the I / O 2019 developer conference in Mountain View and recently it is also possible to try it in Italy. Thanks to augmented reality, without the need to download apps or use viewers, Google's search engine allows us to see, in the environment that surrounds us, some animals in their real dimensions in three dimensions.

To activate it, just write the name of the animal ("giant panda", in our example) using the Chrome browser: it will be possible to see the panda moving on the smartphone. By clicking on "View in 3D" you can rotate, enlarge and decrease the size of the figure. But that's not all: by clicking again on "Look in your space" the augmented reality figure, in its natural dimensions, is superimposed on the surrounding environment. And so we can have the exact perception of what a giant panda living room in our house would look like.

A fun 'feature' of the search engine, which however opens interesting perspectives, for example for online purchases which, thanks to augmented reality, become very similar to direct experience.
