Two LREM deputies of French nationals living outside France asked the Malaysian authorities to "shed light" on the death in their country of a French teenager, Nora Quoirin, found dead in August in the forest, according to a press release published on Tuesday.

"All transparency must be done by the Malaysian authorities regarding the death of Nora Quoirin", write Anne Genetet and Alexandre Holroyd, who ask the Malaysian authorities to "transmit the full conclusions of the investigation to her family as soon as possible deadlines ”.

"Finally shed light on this case"

The 15-year-old Franco-Irish girl, suffering from a slight mental handicap, had disappeared in the middle of the night while staying in Malaysia with her family. After several days of research, his body had been found on August 13 in the forest "when his physical and mental state would clearly have prevented him from making this journey alone in the middle of the night".

"After several months of non-response and incomplete communications between the family, their lawyer and the Malaysian authorities, the latter ended up in an accidental death, neglecting the investigation of hypotheses considered extremely important for the family", affirm the two elected.

According to them, "a procedure internal to Malaysian law could have made it possible to reopen the investigation but the Attorney General refused, concluding with an NFA (No Further Action) on this case". "We await an inflection of the Malaysian justice to finally shed light on this affair and on the tragedy lived by the Quoirin family", they add.
