Russian President Vladimir Putin asked the Cabinet of Ministers to fulfill their full duties until the formation of a new government.

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on State Building and Legislation Mikhail Emelyanov, commenting on the decision to resign, said that such changes are necessary to implement the political course set by Putin.
