The Norwegian Tiril Eckhoff won the Ruhpolding sprint on Wednesday and took the lead in the general classification of the Biathlon World Cup.

Eckhoff (29), who signed his 5th victory of the season, the 11th of his career, edged the Swedish Hanna Oeberg 29.7 seconds and Italian Italian 36.8 seconds with a good 10/10 Dorothea Wierer, the wholesaler of the crystal globe and ex-leader of the World Cup.

Eckhoff's lead over Wierer, however, remains minimal at the top of the ranking (3 points).

The French have generally disappointed, only Julia Simon having pulled out of the game by finishing in the Top 10 (7th). The young biathlete from Les Saisies (23) takes the opportunity to climb onto the provisional podium of the World Cup (3rd).

It was much more complicated for Justine Braisaz (22nd), Anaïs Bescond (39th), Chloé Chevalier (60th), Célia Aymonier (64th) and Caroline Colombo (69th).
