The Sharjah Criminal Court commenced the trial of an Arab youth accused of impersonating others, and seizing 10 thousand dirhams from one of the exchange centers that was transferred in the name of his friend and partner in housing.

The court heard the statements of the complainant, who confirmed that he had received a phone call from one of the persons he knew, who agreed with him to obtain a work visa for his brother, and during the call he asked him to return 10 thousand dirhams around it to him, for his failure to obtain the residence permit for his brother, pointing out that the caller threatened him to inform the police and file a case against him In the event that the amount is not returned.

He continued that he had not received the amount, and after following up on the problem, it became clear that his housing partner had seized his driver's license without noticing that he lost it, and he went to one of the exchange centers and received the value of the transfer, 10,000 dirhams impersonating him.

He said that the accused lived in a shared apartment in Ajman, and had a good relationship with him, as he rented a car from one of the car rental offices using his driver's license which he stole from him, pointing out that the office contacted him to receive the driver's license that belongs to him, after it was found In the vehicle.

Facing the accused with the complainant’s statements and the charges attributed to him, he denied it, and said that he did not impersonate the complainant, indicating that he lives with him, and that the person causing the problem asked him to help him in obtaining a work visa for his two brothers in the company he worked for, but he was not able to do so, confirming He did not receive any money in the name of the complainant, pointing out that the exchange centers are equipped with cameras, and the court and the prosecution can verify their cameras on the date of the incident.

The court decided to postpone the case to the second session of next February, to hear the statements of the owner of the car rental office.
