"We urge the parties to continue to adhere to the ceasefire, which was supposed to begin on January 12 ... We very much hope that the Berlin conference will demonstrate international support for the continuation of the inter-Libyan dialogue," RIA Novosti quoted Duzharrik as saying.

On January 13, Russian-Turkish talks on Libya took place in Moscow; they ended without signing an armistice agreement.

It was later reported that the commander of the Libyan National Army, Marshal Khalifa Haftar, left Moscow without signing an agreement.

The Russian Ministry of Defense noted that he took two days to discuss the signing of the final statement on the armistice in Libya with the leaders of the tribes who support the LNA.
