Former Minister Ségolène Royal announced Tuesday that the executive is considering "terminating" her duties as Poles ambassador because of her repeated criticisms of the government, considering herself already dismissed and ensuring that she does not intend to not be silent.

The ex-presidential candidate of 2007 publishes on Facebook a letter from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of the Ecological Transition, of which the Chained Duck published the first extracts, affirming that "it is envisaged to put an end" to its functions.

Ms. Royal reproduces a letter dated December 7, sent in light of her "recent public speeches that question government policy" to which, the departments emphasize, she is "closely associated" in her "capacity as ambassador , holder of a job at the decision of the government ".

The letter warns that "a future Council of Ministers could examine the draft decree ending your duties as ambassador".

Ségolène Royal, referring to the article in the Duck in chains, believes that her "dismissal of this volunteer mission on the poles has already taken place, without prior interview".

"I understand by this letter that the President of the Republic will end my functions (during) a next Council of Ministers since I do not intend to give up my guaranteed freedom of opinion and expression by the Constitution. I take note of it, "she added on her Facebook page.

The Minister for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition, Élisabeth Borne, also issued an ultimatum to the ambassador of the Ségolène Royal poles on Sunday, urging her to "make a choice" if she wants to keep her position, implying a "duty of reserve".

The former minister and socialist presidential candidate of 2007 has recently increased the attacks on the government, publishing in December tweets criticizing the power on pesticides, the pension reform, as well as the proximity of Emmanuel Macron with "the world of global business".
