The Public Prosecution also accused the first suspect of stealing a sports handbag belonging to the Gucci student containing her phone, a gold necklace and other purposes.
The victim, a 28-year-old master student, said that she was at Al Ghubaiba bus station in Dubai heading to Al Ain, and had a large travel bag and a medium-sized but heavy handbag as well, and she wanted to put them on the bus, so the first accused came to her and offered her help and she agreed I left him the two bags to put them in the designated place, then I went to the phone card charger, which is about three meters from the bus, and it took one minute, and when I was surprised the accused stood in front of her in a way that raised his tension, and told her that he put the bags, did not confirm his words because of his confusion, And I went up to The bus that moved to Al Ain.
She added that, after her arrival, she was surprised by the disappearance of the handbag, so she asked the bus driver about the first suspect, so he told her that he did not ride the bus, so she immediately reported to the police, but the matter was not limited to theft, if the defendant was able to open her iPhone because of a naive password assigned to him And the matter became more complicated, that all the surveillance cameras at the station were disabled, which delayed the arrival of the thief.
She noted that the real nightmare started when she received a text message from one of her friends stating that an unknown had contacted her by phone, and told her that a person sold the victim's phone, after he opened it easily, and the caller asked her friend not to inform the police so that she would not be affected by the videos on the phone.
The victim explained that she had contacted the caller and found out that he was the second accused in the case and told her that he keeps her father's number and does not want to call him, as he spoke with another friend who will be affected a lot of videos, pointing out that she recorded the call because she was afraid that no one would believe her when she told them to steal Her phone and its contents leak.
She explained that the second defendant called her again after two days and threatened her with defaming her as a Gulf citizen, and sent her videos of her and her friends while wearing free clothing in a women's party only, but went further than that and sent those videos to an Emirati person with whom he had superficial knowledge, and the latter informed her of that Then those videos began to spread in the vicinity of her relatives, and the accused threatened her with posting it on social networks and websites if she did not pay him two thousand dirhams. He also seized her account on the Twitter network and published pornographic pictures on her, and I realized that the accused entered the account via the stolen phone.
She continued that she did not bear these pressures and informed the investigators of everything that happened, and received a phone call from him extorting her while she was sitting with two Dubai police, and asked her for 2000 dirhams, so she agreed to his request in order with them.
The victim indicated that the Dubai police managed to arrest the defendants, but the nightmare did not end there, as her friend received a text message threatening from an unknown person using a phone number returning to the country of the accused, and asks the victim to waive the case against the accused, otherwise he will continue Discredit her.
A witness from Dubai Police said that the work team in the incident managed to lure the second suspect after arranging with the victim and arrest him near Al Rigga Metro Station, and he admitted to them that he is only a mediator in the operation that the first accused runs the thief, who was with him at the time of his arrest but was monitoring the situation From afar he escaped immediately after his arrest, and the first suspect was circulated until he was monitored near a center at night, and was arrested.
The witness added that the second accused admitted that the first was the one who stole the phone and was able to open it because of the ease of the password, access to data and photos, and then instructed him to threaten the victim.
While the first defendant mentioned that he helped the victim to put the bags on the bus, then he discovered that she forgot her handbag, and found things inside, including a mobile phone, so the second defendant took it from him and opened it and entered the photos and videos and the WhatsApp application that pertains to the student, and contacted with her close friend, and asked Including him connected to the victim and proceeded to threaten and publish clips belonging to her and her friends.
