It is noted that the minister has planned negotiations with the head of the Indian Foreign Ministry Subramaniam Jaishanqar.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the ministers will consider "the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations."
Lavrov will also take part in the annual international political science conference "Rysin Dialogue".
Earlier, Lavrov arrived on a working visit to Sri Lanka.
