Kudrin said that, in his opinion, the damage "could be measured in trillions of rubles."

According to him, certain innovations would help the Accounts Chamber to fight corruption more effectively.

“We would need some authority to use methods that would prove or refute corruption or at least prepare more detailed materials for law enforcement agencies. We are developing these methods now, we have ideas, ”he explained.

In early December, Attorney General Yuri Chaika said that next year it is planned to introduce new measures in Russia to combat corruption.

He noted that a “set of additional anti-corruption measures” will be developed during a coordination meeting of heads of Russian law enforcement agencies.

Earlier, an official representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office Alexander Kurennoy said that over the past nine months, the value of property of officials turned into state revenue in accordance with court decisions has exceeded 12 billion rubles. He clarified that the property was seized in respect of which officials failed to provide information on its acquisition for legitimate income.
