In addition to the largest investments, such as the wind farm in Markbygden, Piteå at 60 billion and Northvolt in Skellefteå at 30 billion, Komatsu is building a brand new factory in Umeå for about one billion and SCA invests 7.5 billion in the world's largest powerline machine to manufacture corrugated cardboard packaging at the factory in Obbola.
- The decision is well founded. We have seen the market on the packaging side grow and we want to be part of that market, says Per Strand, project director at SCA in Obbola.
"Looks fantastic"It is the two chambers of commerce in Norr- and Västerbotten that have made the calculations on all investments. It comes to about SEK 300 billion and not all mining and tourism projects in Västerbotten are included.
