The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said this, speaking in the plenary of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The Commission's proposals will be adopted by the college and formally presented in the afternoon.

"It is an important point for Croatia and for many other countries - continues von der Leyen - Vice-Presidents Frans Timmermans and Valdis Dombrovskis will present them to you in detail. I am counting on the Croatian presidency to advance on this dossier and on those that will follow in the months to come ".

"The six months of the Croatian presidency will also be crucial for the climatic and ecological transition: we no longer need to talk about urgency and the obligation to act, no longer, because we must take action and implement our green pact for Europe, the work to do it starts today.
