Ypres (dpa) - Hackers have paralyzed the weaving machine manufacturer Picanol from Belgium with a cyber attack and are demanding a ransom. The company initially did not respond to the extortionists' demands, the Belgian news agency Belga reported. The machine builder from Ypres wants to consult with police specialists for computer crime about the further procedure. The company sent its 1,500 employees at the Belgian locations on short-time work due to force majeure.
