The National Board of Directors of the PP held today at 12 noon will kick off the territorial coordination of the opposition work of the 'popular'. The president of the party, Pablo Casado, will have to draw the main lines of his project for the next few years, and in that sense he will find an especially relevant request: the main barons propose to demand that he keep the trip to the center that began last year. , and that does not succumb to the siren songs of Vox and does not fall into tension.

This is revealed by sources close to the barons consulted by THE WORLD. "We have to look for the center in moderation," says one of them, "as all the presidents of the PP have done." "And that happens for not being all day in the street, in the tension or in the 'no, no, no'," he adds.

"If we show that we are a solid government alternative, Vox votes will also return, at least half," the same sources predict.

The National Board of Directors is the highest decision-making body of the party between congresses, and it can ask for the floor. The barons do not need to do it, because then they will have a meal with the Genoa dome, and in it they can exchange impressions privately with Casado.

The presidents will thus request a distancing from Vox, which Genoa shares. It must be remembered that the general secretary PP, Teodoro García Egea, said in an interview with this newspaper, on Sunday, that his party will not be thrown to the streets but will take the voice of the streets to the hemicycle. In fact, Genoa sources say that today there is almost total "alignment" with the barons and that the party will be "widening" more and more.

"It is not necessary to go to the center, it is necessary to occupy it", they affirm in the national direction of the party. That is to say, those of Casado will not neglect their firmness, but they will combine it with "sense of state". All this in pursuit of the "recast of the center-right electorate".

This 2020 there are elections in Galicia, which will condition the message of Alberto Núñez Feijóo. Galician PP sources ensure the message of the president of the Xunta will remain the same and warn of the emergence of joining the vote to avoid a tripartite left and nationalists.

The president of Andalusia, Juanma Moreno, has always defended that the PP must have one foot in the center, and now bets not to lean too far to the right in the face of Vox's push. The same applies to Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, president of Castilla y León, for whom it is essential to differentiate from Vox and further enhance the managerial and centrist profile.
