This was reported in the press service of the department following negotiations with representatives of the Main Customs Administration of China.

“The Rosselkhoznadzor announced its concern about the incidence of non-compliance with the requirements of Russia and the EAEU for these products that became more frequent in 2019 ... If the non-compliance continues to be identified ... Rosselkhoznadzor will be forced to introduce temporary restrictions on its supplies from China to Russia,” from the press release.

The agency reminded that in 2019, GMO components were found in the products of four Chinese enterprises, and in two other cases, Salmonella bacteria and E. coli bacteria.

In addition, the Rosselkhoznadzor expects from the Chinese side investigation materials on the violations identified and will send colleagues to the PRC a list of requirements for products imported into Russia.

“The parties will conduct a joint inspection of Chinese feed and feed additives enterprises. During such a working trip, the Service will be able to familiarize itself with the system of supervision of companies producing these products in the PRC, ”the Russian department added.

In late December, the Rosselkhoznadzor limited the supply of citrus from China due to the discovery of quarantine organisms.
