Olivier Faure, first secretary of the PS, denounced Monday "a fake negotiation" on the pension reform, by estimating that the pivotal age, withdrawn from the discussions by the government, "will return in April" at the end of the "conference funding. "

The boss of the PS and deputy, who will demonstrate again Thursday, also denounced on Public Senate "the fog" around this reform, stressing that it will be well in the hemicycle on February 17 for the start of the examination of the text, "to explain that, all the same, we are in the big mouth foutage".

"It is the first time that on such an important reform we have no data. (...) No one knows, even the government, what you will receive in retirement. You are asked to vote, conscientiously ( ...) eyes closed, a blank check. No, no, no, and no, "he said.

For him, the withdrawal of the pivotal age, announced on Saturday by the government, is "provisional", "therefore it is a victory which is provisional" for the opponents of the reform project.

"What we are going through right now is a fake negotiation, with a Prime Minister who explains to us that he is going to negotiate, that everything is open, but when we read it, he tells the trade union organizations + you can propose something else, but we cannot touch contributions, at the level of pensions + ", added Mr. Faure on Public Sénat.

"He has already ruled out touching employers' contributions (...), touching Cades money (Social Security Depreciation Fund, Editor's note), widening the base, that is to say - say to touch the income from capital. What remains? In January the pivotal age disappears but in April it will return, "assured Mr. Faure.

"The evidence is that today we must withdraw this text to pause, have a real negotiation, and above all an evaluation," he insisted.
