by Tiziana Di Giovannandrea 13 January 2020Homide-suicide hypothesis in Avigliana, a municipality in the metropolitan city of Turin at the entrance of the Susa Valley: a man killed his wife with the arrow of a crossbow then killed himself with the same weapon and with a arrow to the face.

The Carabinieri of Avigliana intervened in the apartment in Via Pietra Piana at dinner time where they found the corpses of the two spouses: GianVittorio M., 54, uncensored, and Stefania V., 48, both Italian.

According to the first reconstructions, the man hit the woman with a shovel in the head, stunning her and then hit her with an arrow shot by a crossbow, of free detention. The woman was mortally wounded in the face.

The man then with the same crossbow committed suicide by shooting an arrow towards his face.

GianVittorio M. was being treated at the local mental health center and as reported by neighbors, the couple often had violent quarrels. Before dying, the victim had managed to call the doctors, who alerted the Carabinieri but it was too late.

The firefighters, the Carabinieri and the medical staff of 118 intervened on the spot. The firefighters entered the apartment following the notification received, through the Unique Emergency Number 112, from the woman's family members, because alerted by the calls telephone numbers of Stefania V. while a new dispute was taking place between the two.

Upon entering the house, the rescuers were able to do nothing but note the death of both spouses. The case is followed by the prosecutor of Turin's prosecutor, Fabio Scevola.
